TI Pharma's strategic research program is defined by therapeutic areas and enabling technologies. A special overall research platform deals with efficiency analysis and drug discovery process. Projects in this platform cover the whole research matrix of TI Pharma.
The resources for the themes and disciplines come from reputed knowledge groups in the leading universities. TI Pharma actively coordinates its activities with other initiatives in the field of pharmaceutical research (like the Netherlands Genomics Initiative) and reaps the benefits from potential synergy. Through so-called 'translational' research, in which basic findings are translated into concepts for innovative products throughout the drug discovery and development process, the research program aims to reduce the cost and the lead time of the development of novel medicines.
