Effective therapy in HIV infection

Current treatment during HIV infection consists of combinations of antiviral drugs (HAART) directed against virus specific enzymes, notably reverse transcriptase (RT) and protease. Despite major successes in reducing morbidity and mortality, toxic side effects and the development of viral resistance remain serious HAART-related problems. Read more >>
