Drug Formulation, Delivery, and Targeting
Design of proper drug delivery systems is a crucial step in the development of successful medicines. A drug has to be administered to the patient in a patient-friendly way, choosing the route of administration that is least painful/burdening to the patient with dosing intervals that are as long as possible. The list of requests has led to extensive research to develop patient friendly, effective and safe delivery systems, in other words: to administer the right drug, through the right route of administration, to the right patient, at the right time and over the right time period and to reach the right target site.
