Neglected diseases, such as malaria, represent a major health, societal and economic burden on developing countries. Within its project portfolio, TI Pharma is seeking to develop solutions to these diseases, mobilizing public and private partners in multilateral consortia - bringing together a wide range of competences and resources.

As the first showcase of euSEND, three projects are being initiated with FIND (Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics), a not-for-profit foundation focusing on improving the diagnosis of diseases in developing countries. The projects will focus on leishmaniasis, trachoma and tuberculosis. Other partners involved are Leiden University Medical Center and the Royal Tropical Institute (KIT).

“One of TI Pharma's big strengths is that it knows how to manage money. That's a skill that should be more widespread.”
