TI Pharma student is granted a travel award from ASPET

After his young investigator award at the International Symposium on Mechanisms of Vasodilatation (June 2009, Sendai, Japan) and a travel grant from the American Physiological Society (APS) to the ET-11 Symposium (October 2009, Montreal, Canada), Merlijn Meens has now been granted a travel award from the American Society of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (ASPET) to attend Experimental Biology (April 2010, Anaheim, CA, USA).
 
Merlijn Meens is a TI Pharma PhD-student on the project Metalloproteases and endothelial dysfunction. He works on physiological antagonism of the vascular effects of endothelin-1 in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology (supervisor J. De Mey) of the Cardiovascular Research Institute Maastricht (CARIM) at Maastricht University (NL).
