Chris Lipinski lectures at FIGON
Mid October the annual FIGON Dutch Medicines Days (GeneesMiddelenDagen) were held in Congress hotel 'De Werelt', Lunteren. Over 800 people visited this year’s event, with sessions on (pre)clinical research topics and safety & regulatory affairs presented by more than fifteen scientific and branch organizations in the Netherlands. Several TI Pharma meetings were organized during this conference, including the annual TI Pharma lecture by Chris Lipinski: “The good, the bad and the unknown in drug discovery: a very opionated discussion”. In this lecture, Lipinski discussed whether or not novel drugs with a known mechanism are contributors to reduced drug discovery productivity. Lipinski is the author of ‘Lipinski’s Rule of Five’, a widely used filter to select for acceptable drug oral absorption. Lipinski is a Scientific Advisor to Melior Discovery (US). He has published over 235 publications and issued 17 US patents.
