Anne de Boer and Erik Frijlink win Wubbo Ockelsprijs 2010
Anne de Boer and Erik Frijlink were awarded the Wubbo Ockelsprijs
2010. They received the award for their work on the development and
commercialization of the innovative Novolizer dry powder inhaler.
Erik Frijlink is a researcher at Top Institute Pharma and involved in
projects in the areas of design quality, stability of protein-based
medicines, eradication of resistent bacteria, and nanoscience and
blood-brain barrier penetration. Recently, a patent was published for
one of these projects for the production of heat resistant oxytocine,
a medicine to prevent excessive bleeding during childbirth. For more
