Our annual Spring Meeting took place on the 15^th of April. 600 researchers gathered in Media Plaza, Utrecht to present and discuss their research.

Cross-cultural Innovation
This year’s event was focused on ‘Cross-cultural Innovation’; the key-note lecture was presented by Professor Fons Trompenaars. Professor Trompenaars is globally reknown for his views on leadership in multicultural organizations striving for innovation.

Interactive workshops
A variety of interactive workshop were organized during the meeting. Researchers had the opportunity to discuss hot issues in the pharmaceutical sciences with colleagues, and to learn how to promote their careers.

Topics included:

• cultural differences;
• personal efficacy/effectiveness;
• the future of drug research and pharmaceutical sciences;
• the competitive position within the European Union;
• how to start your own company;
• challenges faced with clinical trials
  

Poster Awards
Therese Rosenling, Roland Meesters and Chimed Jansen received the Best Poster Award, including a travel grant of of € 2500 to visit the FIP Pharmaceutical Sciences World Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA.
