Workshop 'Modeling and Simulation Approaches'

November 19, 2009, Carlsberg Academy, Copenhagen, Denmark
November 24, 2009, Naturalis, Leiden, the Netherlands

In November 2009, TI Pharma and BioLogue/University of Copenhagen organized a one day workshop in Denmark and The Netherlands on modeling and simulation approaches in drug discovery and development.

About the workshop

Advanced modeling and simulation techniques are increasingly applied in all phases of modern drug development. This workshop emphasized the critical role of modeling and simulation in drug discovery strategies to increase the success rate. The question addressed, was how modeling and simulation can improve the prediction of drug effects in man from pre-clinical in silico, in vitro and in vivo investigations.

The workshop offered a series of formal lectures by world-experts. These lectures were followed by round table discussions in the afternoon where the participants had the opportunity to share their views with the invited speakers and other experts from BioLogue/University of Copenhagen and TI Pharma.
